Trolley!
D really really really wanted me to make him the stuffed trolley from Wee Wonderfulsso here it is: D did NOT want button wheels, because that wouldn’t be soft and squishy in his bed. he wanted felt, so I improv-ed these.he’s super happy, therefore, I am super happy.(also, I really want to make EVERYTHING else […]
Bee Blocks!
I’ve never heard of this block before, but it was fun and quick, and I LOVE the way it looks now, with 2 blocks together…here’s one, alone:and here’s the other:and here’s the back, because I love quilt backs.
Paw Prints!
I have this awesome idea for a quilt for D… so I tested the block by making a throw pillow for the living room…the back is just bright turquoise minkee, but the front is this block:isn’t it cool? It’s sometimes called Snake Trail, or Drunkard’s Trail (NOT drunkard’s path, which I also love)you can put a […]
LELLOW!
the Bean always physically chooses pink, but if you ASK her what color she wants/likes/etc, she says yellow. so when we were looking for flannel to make her pajamas, she told me she wanted yellow, and then we found this fabric with white and pink butterflies on a yellow background… it’s not meant to be […]
Granny Pants!
Or Grandma's pants, recycled. My gram unearthed an old (bellbottom) pair of pants in this awesome Salmon Pink denim. So I cut them up and made the Bean a pair of pants. She loves the cargo pockets, and the color, and I love the sturdy denim (and free price).
Playmat!
I really wanted to give the kiddos a playmat for Xmas, mostly because D wanted this one, that he had seen at Lowes, but he already has ALL the Cars cars, and that’s just not a comfy rug, plus, I wanted something that was OUR neighborhood…. so I found this on etsy. It’s super cool, […]
Cabin Stitching.
We're up in Lake Arrowhead for the weekend, to let the kiddos experience some snow fun. Luckily, I got to spend the afternoon working on this little dude, and I just finished him, (all except his hand, cause I forgot to pack some tan floss). Now I'll work on some hexies, I'm still basting.
C’s Xmas shirt
the Negroni pattern from Collette Patterns is my new favorite men’s shirt pattern.D chose the fabric, which is pure linen, at the Cotton Shop, (which is now closed, boo!), and I made it when C went out of town for a weekend…it was my first (and hopefully last) time matching plaids. I used the free […]

RAINBOW BRIGHT
TADA!aren’t they SOOOO awesome!?!?!?!? it’s funny, I decided to do them after I saw these, but I don’t have any pink, so I used yellow (the bean’s other favorite color, and a color I don’t particularly like, so I don’t mind using up the skein), and they totally reminded me vaguely of Rainbow Brite, but […]
