Market time

I got my postage stamp quilt top done just in time. Quilting it will have to wait till June, as I’ve been informed that the craze of market has begun. This week I have to paper piece a quilt top: Design, sew, and write the pattern for a duvet cover; make a clutch bag or […]

Dr Seuss baby bunting quilt

I just realized I’d never posted about this bunting/pennant quilt, made a few weeks ago for a pregnant lady at RK…. Lots of different Dr Seuss fabrics, and some Kona solids…. when you lift up the Kona solids, you’ll find textured fabrics underneath…. I only photographed some of the underneaths, but there is: laminated cotton, […]

Crockett pants

Im preparation for the new arrival…. a pair of wool longies (hopefully a long size 3-6m)… just because, I knitted the Fibonacci sequence in on one leg…. (starting on the left, with the orange: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and then the cuff…) I also drafted out a pair of 3-6m pants, with extra […]

More bags

Just out of the dryer. New quilts make me happy…. and here’re some tester bags, made with Quilter’s Linen scraps (from the chopsticks quilt) and some Stitch scraps (left over from when I slipcovered these chairs at Market)… this one above is the Keyka Lou grocery bag, with handles in the wrong places,  and below […]

Pre-wash

Here’s the quilt for our baby boy, as designed by me and the Bean. C bought me an early birthday present, a walking foot, so this was my first time using it. LOVE. here’s the back, pieced with scraps. here’s the oops on the back. just so I don’t get a swelled head. here’s the […]

Quilters Linen Chopsticks quilt

Laminated shopping bags

These are from the grocery bag pattern by Keyka Lou, made for Robert Kaufman. I love that multicolored raindrop flower print. And the numbers are cool too.

Luckiest girl in the world.

I opened my door this morning to find THIS on my front porch: 3 Kona roll-ups, dark, classic, and bright… and these GORGEOUS colors of Quilter’s Linen (which might be my most favorite fabric basic EVER) I have plans for the roll-ups, and am awaiting instructions for the QL. It’s gonna be a good day.

Baby boy quilt-in-progress, take 2

First, she sorted… (Well, first I sewed, THEN she sorted) Then we played. This one is much smaller, probably 45×55, so it’ll actually be for the baby. But it’s the same fabric line as D’s quilt, so they’ll coordinate. Cause clearly my house is all about coordination (not!) C just ordered me an early birthday […]

Another bag…

This puppy needs a name. I made another one to test my pattern, and I LOVE it. (BTW, if any of you love this bag as much as I do, I’d love a pattern tester!) My sister’s birthday is coming up, and that blue is her favorite color, so I think it’s headed her way, […]
