I got totally inspired by this fabric yesterday….
it took about 6 hours, with lots of kidlet interruption along the way…
but the finished result is SO cute, I’m sure I’ll make this again and again.
the blue part is all shirred with elastic thread, so it’s stretchy, and then there’s a bow in the back to tie it a little tighter, if necessary…
the sleeves are flutter sleeves, to cover the shoulders from the hot summer sun in the garden….
there’s a pocket for storing snacks or collecting treasures….
and the back top has 2 quick and simple snaps to hold it on…. I’m thinking of selling this dress, and then selling the pattern. It’s pretty easy, though it IS time consuming to shir all that…. but LOOK at the finished product!!!
