I caved and got a new cell yesterday, so I once again have easy pictures….
These are the blocks for my “pie pan quilt” I know they’re really called kaleidascope blocks, but I think they look like pies…
I started this when I was preggers with my 3.5yo, so its been a while…
My quilting skills have definitely improved, so some of the earlier blocks were WAY wonky….
Luckily its a scrap quilt, so squaring did a lot to disguise the non-matchy seams….
above: unsquared
below: same block, squared…. isn’t it purdy?
here’s the stack of all 81* blocks, squared and ready to go
and here’s a shot of everything I cut off in the squaring process… it’s enough to more than fill a 1/2 gallon milk container, I think….
OH! and last week I got my hands on a copy of “Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day.”
LOVE IT!!! totally recommend purchasing a copy!
here’s a caramel pecan sticky bun made with the brioche dough.
(that’s D’s finger, reaching for it, he couldn’t wait for me to take the pic)
*story to come when I finish this quilt!)
