I finally got the chance, and even got to hand quilt it. I’ve NEVER felt such a cuddly quilt before. It’s as soft as the viole that everyone raves about, but stronger. The weave of the fabric is tighter. It’s amazing. like working with silk. SO AWESOME.
All the solids I used in the quilt were lawn (white, pink and raffia)
The back is a lawn solid, called Cambridge Lawn, (in pink).
I quilted raffia colored running stitches in the pink solids with Valdani perle cotton (from Sew Modern), and white ones in the white solids. hard to see, but dreamy to feel.
The binding is leftovers of the bright springy green. LOVE this quilt.
